If you’re a fan of my Facebook page, the past couple weeks you’ve had the pleasure of viewing some precious content that conveys a fresh perspective. (I love alliterations, especially with the letter P – don’t ask!)
This year I decided I would commit to specializing in newborn and family lifestyle photography. I took a big step towards this commitment by continuing my education (on the week of my birthday nonetheless – a year older, a year wiser 😉 )
Last month I flew cross country and found myself hanging out with one of my favorite newborn photographers, Erin Tole. She warmly welcomed me into her home and her studio space, allowing me to take an honest glimpse into a day in her life (and her spectacular prop collection!).
I could write a whole story on the experience, but I’ve had this post drafted up for over a week already and I came to realize that perhaps the experience is not meant to be detailed here on the inter-webs. I think these following captures can truly speak for themselves; plus, the work I produce in the near future should also be able to reveal the knowledge that was bestowed upon me – I’ve already grown within by leaps and bounds and my earth is shaking beneath me because I feel like it’s time for me to make some more major steps ahead. And it feels good.
I’ll close out my love note for lady E by sharing one last thank you. I’m ever grateful for people like her, that are not only awesome on the inside and out (awww), but who are really solid educators.
It is an honor to have her as a mentor, friend, and colleague in this sweet little niche of photography we’ve found ourselves in.
Only Love, Brooke
